Executive Director - Jessica Hill
Jessica Hill is the Interim Executive Director of the Guelph Wish Fund for Children, bringing over two decades of healthcare experience and a profound commitment to pediatric care. With a background as a Registered Dental Hygienist, Jessica has refined her ability to provide compassionate, client-centered care and excel in collaborative interdisciplinary teamwork. Her personal experience navigating her daughter's rare cancer diagnosis further underscores her empathy and dedication.
Jessica’s journey led her to the incredible work of the Guelph Wish Fund in March of 2023, deeply driven by her passion shaped by a heart-wrenching personal experience, as her daughter Addy battled angiosarcoma for nine months until her passing in July 2022. Witnessing the challenges and emotional toll has inspired her to be an advocate for change and given her invaluable insight into the struggles that families face. It has also been a driving force for her to give back and to see that every child’s wish is fulfilled, where laughter and joy replace pain and suffering.
Jessica's passion for child advocacy and community support is evident as she spearheaded major fundraising events, raising over $360,000 for Sarcoma research. Her commitment to enhancing the lives of children aligns seamlessly with the values of the Guelph Wish Fund for Children.
Jessica resides in Elora with her husband Dave, daughter Alyssa, and furry companion Nova. She volunteers her time with various charities and the Centre Wellington Celtics Basketball community showing her commitment to community service and making a positive impact in the lives of others.
