Wish Kids and Families

The Guelph Wish Fund for Children provides ‘wishes’ and support to children under the age of 19 and their families, residing in Guelph or Wellington County, who, are living with a rare debilitating syndrome, a significant illness or a life-altering injury.

A wish can be creating a memory of a special experience or it can be attending to the physical needs of the child with help towards the purchase of specialized equipment. Each wish is personal and we happily work with the child and his or her family to make sure that we meet specific individual needs. The children and their families are provided with extraordinary moments and truly wonderful memories, as we strive to make stressful lives just a little easier and happier.

If you are a parent or guardian of a child with a medical challenge, a medical professional who is treating such a child, or a concerned friend, relative or professional, you can make a referral to the Guelph Wish Fund for Children for consideration. Once a referral is made, the family will be contacted and a subsequent meeting will be arranged with the Executive Director. Please have the parent’s or guardian’s permission before referring.

If you are not eligible to refer a child, please ask the child’s family to visit our website, contact us at 519-820-9474 or email info@guelphwishfund.com.
