Jase

Boone

Jase was born on February 16, 2015, but his young life took a difficult turn when he was diagnosed with Chronic Recurring Multifocal Osteomyelitis (CRMO) at the age of three. This condition causes bone inflammation and can result in severe pain, fever, and bone deformities. Jase has experienced various symptoms, which greatly impeded his ability to participate in activities and even sit still for school.

Over the years, Jase underwent several trial treatments, but nothing seemed to provide lasting relief. His doctors theorized that it may take some time to manage his symptoms. However, Jase's life changed for the better when he became a Guelph Wish Fund for Children Wish Child in 2021. He was granted a wish for a Great Wolf Lodge vacation, a new bedroom set, and a variety of toys and electronics.

In the summer of 2022, Jase was doing very well, enjoying his newly decorated bedroom and playing with his new toys. However, over the fall, his condition worsened, and he required an increase in medication doses to manage his symptoms. Despite this setback, Jase started grade 2 in September 2022 and is doing well, enjoying his classes and making new friends.

Although Jase has faced many challenges, he remains optimistic and hopeful, looking forward to the holidays and plenty of snow. Thanks to the support of the Guelph Wish Fund for Children, Jase has been able to experience joy and excitement in his life, even amid difficult circumstances.
