We are aware of the continued publicity surrounding the Curling for Kids Bonspiel Fundraiser held on February 17th and appreciate the community's interest in supporting our cause.
This event held by our community partner has benefited the Guelph Wish Fund for Children for several years and we are grateful to the donors who supported this event. Fundraising events such as these are vital in supporting our mission of granting wishes to children in our community facing various medical challenges.
Our organization is committed to transparency and in light of the questions surrounding the authenticity of some of the items up for auction during the Curling Event, the Guelph Wish Fund for Children would like to address this issue.
All items, including the jersey signed by Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift, were generously donated at this third-party community event. The event organizers are dividing proceeds raised from the event between the Guelph Wish Fund for Children, The Oakville Fair Share Food Bank and the Halton Women’s Crisis Shelter. As Guelph Wish Fund for Children was not involved with the organization of this event, we do not possess authenticity documentation for these items and ask that any winning bidders with concerns or questions to please reach out to the event organizers.
